Location is everything! You´ll find that to be true when you visit the Grand Forks/East Grand Forks area. Located in northeastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota, the community is just a short drive from the friendly confines of our neighbor to the north, Canada. The community is conveniently located just off U.S. Interstate 29, which makes it a short drive from anywhere.
Some of the features that make the cities a great place to live are diverse educational opportunities, safety and low crime rate, parks and theaters, and a cost of living considerably lower than that found in large cities.
Greater Grand Forks offers excellent educational opportunities. Grand Forks is home to the University of North Dakota (UND), renowned as being among the nation’s best medium-sized doctoral-research universities. UND is one of only 40 universities in the nation to have both a medical school and a law school. East Grand Forks is home to one of three campuses of Northland Community and Technical College, offering certificates, diplomas, and degrees in a variety of majors and general education transfer courses; as well as workforce training and continuing education programs.
